JOHN L. HOLT, EA - President and Chairman of the Board
John Holt, who hails originally from San Antonio, has worked in the Holt family tax preparation business since he was a young boy. In addition to his certification for practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an enrolled agent, John holds certifications in computer science and labor studies. He maintains the tax center's computer systems in state-of-the-art readiness for each tax season, and he has graduate study credits in tax law. He is a member of the Maryland Society of Accountants and the National Association of Tax Professionals.
John is married and lives in the Maryland suburbs with his wife and business partner, Judy. He has two adult sons, Jason and Keith. He is President of his local community association and a 32-degree Scottish Rite Mason.

HARRY J. BACAS - Vice President and General Manager
Harry Bacas, a retired US Army officer, came to The Original Tax Center over twenty years ago. Mr. Bacas became Vice President and General Manager of The Original Tax Center after the death of Dempsey "Jack" Holt in 2001. In addition to the day-to-day hands-on management of the business, Mr. Bacas serves his clients as an experienced, dedicated, and proficient tax professional. He has special expertise in estate tax issues, real estate transactions, and investment strategies.
Mr. Bacas, a native Washingtonian, is married and resides in suburban McLean, Virginia, with his wife, Donna, and their two young-adult children.

JUDY HOLT - Secretary/Treasurer
A native of suburban Maryland, Judy Holt is a clinical auditor for an international biopharmaceutical research company. She has extensive training and experience in office administration, bookkeeping, and accounting which, when coupled with her auditing skills, combine to provide The Original Tax Center with the expertise of a major service corporation.
She has four grown sons - Eddie, Matthew, Kirk, and Christopher - all of whom live in the Washington Metropolitan area.

WALLACE DICKSON - Tax and Small Business Consultant
A United States Air Force veteran, Mr. Dickson graduated from The George Washington University (BA, 1958) and the George Washington University Law Center (JD, 1961) and has been associated with The Original Tax Center since 1995. He has established a loyal following of individual and small business clients.
Mr. Dickson is a member of the National Society of Tax Professionals (NSTP) as well as The National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), the Cleveland Park Civic Association Executive Board, and other civic, political and professional groups. Aside from his many individual tax clients here and around the globe, Mr. Dickson's clients include non-profit corporations, restaurants, law firms, and other local small firms.
Born in New Jersey, Mr. Dickson moved to the Washington area as a small child and has resided in the area all his life, attending public schools in nearby Arlington, Virginia. He currently lives in the Adams Morgan neighborhood - a busy, diverse neighborhood in the heart of the city. Mr. Dickson has three children and five grandchildren living in the nearby suburbs.

DEMPSEY "JACK" HOLT & LUCY HOLT - Our Founders
Jack Holt (1919 - 2001) was actively engaged in the tax consulting business for more than 40 years. First, as a district manager for H & R Block, Jack and the late Lucy Holt were charged with establishing that company's initial foothold in the Washington metropolitan area. Together, they opened and managed 23 store-front tax preparation offices for that firm in Washington. In 1973, they incorporated their own tax preparation firm - Government Employees' Tax Specialists Inc. - and later purchased from the retiring owner The Original Tax Center, which had been established in 1945.
Today, their family legacy - The Original Tax Center - is a charter member of the Cleveland Park Citizens Association Business Circle in an active uptown business community a few miles north of the White House on Connecticut Avenue NW.
